Comics roundup: I liked these, and so should you
Lenore No. 1 by Roman Dirge (Titan Books, $3.99)
Why I like it: This month Titan publishes the first Lenore comic in more than two years. Honestly, this was the first time I'd read it, even though I'd seen devoted fans at comics conventions for years. And now I can understand why, because Lenore is everything you like about Emily the Strange and other pop-culture goths, only 20 times funnier. She has been dead 100 years, and, in this issue, the man who embalmed her is coming back to finish the job. (Really, I swear it's funny.)
Why you'll like it: Because you like True Blood, Beetlejuice, Helena Bonham Carter movies and anything else with a pale girl making sarcastic remarks. Because you adore Dame Darcy. Because every day is Halloween.
